A Photojournal of the Apple "Naked Cube" modification which I invented. This became a popular modification, in one form or another. Gnarlodious-Cube is now a home server running several websites.

The Apple Cube was found with a superfluous, boring and weighty steel shell which this owner removed. |
The memory slots and video card. Convective cooling in this area is greatly enhanced without the steel shell. |

Two of the 3/8ths stainless steel rods support the cage and keep it tight. They are removed with any primitive tool (e.g, chopstick). |

A slow shutter night shot shows the lights now visible in the rear. The yellow one on the left indicates "power on" and red on right is "computer on". There is a green light for "disk read/write" but I did not get it on film (er, CCD). |
